ADC to Feature Why Broadband isn't Broadband without ADC at SUPERCOMM 2001
ADC, a leading global supplier of fiber optics, network equipment, software and integration services for broadband, multiservice networks, will showcase its portfolio of products and services at SUPERCOMM 2001 booth (No. 3548) in Atlanta, June 5 - 8. ADC will also demonstrate its ability to turn the promise of broadband into reality.
SUPERCOMM 2001 is expected to attract more than 60,000 visitors from all parts of the world, including new and established service providers, journalists and industry analysts.
"ADC's array of broadband equipment and services will continue to play a key role as broadband market penetration advances around the world," said Rick Roscitt, chairman and chief executive officer for ADC. "Our focus on DSL, IP cable, software, optics, connectivity, and systems integration will help service providers advance their ability to serve customers effectively and efficiently while increasing revenues."
ADC's largest tradeshow exhibit will feature demos and product information from the following divisions:
DSL
ADC has combined standards-compliant services, equipment, OSS software and systems integration to deliver pre-integrated, pre-tested DSL solutions that help communications service providers build, manage and optimize their DSL networks. Next generation equipment such as the Avidia DSLAM and Soneplex Loop Transport System give DSL networks the port density and intelligent traffic management needed to optimize available bandwidth use. Pairing this with the most comprehensive Broadband OSS software suite in the industry allows ADC to offer Total DSL solutions designed for the broadband era and beyond. ADC will also demonstrate recent DSL equipment offerings including the new Avidia 2200. In addition, ADC's new PG-FlexPlus(TM) Edge RAM and PG-FlexPlus Edge IAD will be featured at SUPERCOMM. These innovative one-of-a-kind solutions quickly and cost-effectively enable carriers to extend the delivery of ADSL services to premium residential and small business subscribers that are currently beyond the reach limits of CO-based or DLC-based DSLAMs.
IP Cable
The Cuda 12000 IP Access Switch represents a major improvement from legacy CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) solutions. The ADC design team developed a "carrier class" product and system solution from the bottom up in close consultation with leading U.S. cable operators. The resulting Cuda 12000 is an award-winning, DOCSIS- and EuroDOCSIS-qualified, high performance, highly scalable solution. The Cuda 12000 is a next generation access system based on DOCSIS 1.1 specifications designed to handle the performance, reliability, operational, management and service demands that broadband service providers need to compete effectively in today's and tomorrow's marketplace.
Software
ADC will showcase its Singularit.e suite of integrated, best-in-class operations support systems solutions for customer management & billing, service fulfillment and service assurance. ADC will demonstrate how Singularit.e provides communications service providers and their subscribers with a total and seamless service fulfillment, customer management and service quality experience for the delivery of high-speed data and voice services through a single system and interface. In-depth Singularit.e product demonstrations will highlight customer management, order entry, flow-through provisioning, service activation, and billing features. ADC will also provide its unique demonstration of billing for quality of service. Web order entry capabilities on display will include a common product & service catalog; subscriber capability to add multiple services to shopping carts; order status tracking; and display of sample broadband services data on a single invoice.
Photonics
ADC will display a variety of advanced active and passive optical components at SUPERCOMM 2001. A MEMS switch demonstration will highlight the display along with the first product platform from ADC's new Advanced Photonics Integration Center (APIC). The platform consists of a family of compact optical modules that integrate the functionality of several discrete optical components into a single compact design. The world's leading supplier of optical couplers, ADC also has an array of discrete passive components (collimators, circulators, isolators and polarizers) to meet its customers' requirements for reliable, consistent photonic components. ADC also leads the industry with its active optical components including the acclaimed 980nm pump laser diodes and modules and tunable lasers. ADC is the first company to deploy tunable lasers in a field environment and commercially ship a tunable laser.
Connectivity
ADC's display of connectivity solutions for networks in transition demonstrates how the right connectivity products are indispensable to today's rapidly evolving networks. As global voice networks move to hybrid data networks the connectivity requirements for these high-speed networks become even more important. Service providers must easily and quickly connect, protect and manage the physical layer of their network. For existing and 2.5/3G wireless networks the new Digivance(TM) Indoor Coverage Solution (ICS) is the only all-digital distributed antenna system to provide digitized optical transport of RF signals within or between buildings. The Digivance ICS offers a fully digital platform, which maintains the high dynamic range required for higher data rate services. This feature makes it cost effective and future-proofs the indoor coverage network.
Brand Campaign Reflected throughout SUPERCOMM
Exhibit floor space and ADC's booth at SUPERCOMM 2001 will echo the company's new brand campaign, which launched on May 14, 2001. The complex business of broadband, multiservice networking is simplified in ADC's new multi-media advertising campaign. The multi-million-dollar effort targets communications service providers with a strategic combination of media to heighten the ADC brand profile nationally, while simultaneously driving messaging directly to individual high potential customer markets.
The ad campaign, the largest and most comprehensive initiated by ADC, follows the company's recent realignment of key operations, and the streamlining of its sales and marketing process to strengthen its focus on customer satisfaction and growth. The 9900-square-foot ADC exhibit in Hall D will showcase numerous products and reflect the new ad campaign emphasizing the "Broadband Delivered" theme.
