PCIA GlobalXChange: DotSurfer introduces wireless PCMCIA card to North America
The product is compatible with all major laptops and is based on 2.5G and 3G technologies, enabling wireless data rates at 64 kb/s to 2 Mb/s. The PC card will allow laptop users limitless choices on where and when they surf the Internet, and it features wide-area PCS coverage.
Korea Telecom Freetel signed an exclusive contract with Gtran in May, and DotSurfer made its debut in two major Korean cities in July. Gtran is working toward bringing the product to North American providers
