Ctek, In Cooperation With M2M Wireless And TnT Technologies Announces SkyCloud, A Visual Access And Management System For The M2M Ecosystem

A demonstration of network and end-user use cases

Henderson Nevada (PRWEB) - Ctek Inc., a leading manufacturer of automation, and communications equipment for the M2M market, in conjunction with ecosystem partners M2M Wireless and TnT Technologies will today be demonstrating the broad applicability of Ctek’s SkyCloud service at the Remote Monitoring and Control Conference 2014 in Henderson NV.

SkyCloud is a cloud-based Visual Access and Management system that has been designed from the ground up to meet the real and very different requirements of cellular M2M applications. Unlike conventional cloud systems that attempt to centralize the device, application, and network knowledge on a server application, SkyCloud uses the intelligence inherent in the endpoint device to update a common presentation mechanism. Endpoint devices continue to operate autonomously while at the same time providing users with a network-wide view of their enterprise. Some of the key benefits of the SkyCloud architecture include:

  • Intuitive - Navigate to endpoints using a map based paradigm
  • Reliable - No single point of failure to disable mission critical endpoints
  • Secure - No single point of ingress to disrupt a network or application
  • Simple - Add devices from any vendor using a simple XML protocol
  • Self-Provisioning - A simple registration puts your device in your cloud
  • Economical - Reporting is by exception and highly configurable
  • Immediate - Your cloud right now - absolutely no programming required

At Remote 2014, Ctek and its partners will demonstrate SkyCloud’s ecosystem wide support including its self-service provisioning mechanism and capabilities to allow networks, their customers, and their customer’s customer to apply a unique branding to the service.

M2M Wireless, a leading MVNO serving the machine-to-machine market has adopted Ctek’s SkyCloud to provide their customers with the M2M Visual Solution. M2M Visual is available to M2M customers through the industry leading M2M customer care portal as well as a peer-to-peer service within a customer’s cloud.

When asked to comment on the significance of the M2M Visual Solution, Sean Quine, President of M2M Wireless, said "Our Customers will have instantaneous access to view all endpoints on their network, and be able to immediately assess whether devices are operating correctly. This visual representation will not only expedite the identification of problem locations, but put the customer in a proactive position to keep their network operating smoothly. This cloud technology has already been integrated into our advanced customer provisioning and billing portal to provide customers with seamless access from one centralized location. Since the platform is open to all manufacturers, we envision M2M Visual as becoming the standard for network management in the M2M industry.

TnT Technologies designs and installs water and wastewater systems using leading edge technology to provide their customers with the most advanced, cost-effective solution possible. So it is no surprise that when the City of Mt. Washington KY needed a major wastewater infrastructure upgrade, they turned to TnT. TnT engineered a complete city wide solution using Ctek’s automation and communication products and has subsequently added Ctek’s SkyCloud service to provide the benefits of visual access and management.

When asked specifically about the benefits of SkyCloud, Tom Nelson, President of TnT Technologies responded, “One click, that’s it; one click and the supervisor can see the health of his entire operation, the pump station, the communications, the network, the whole thing.” Tom went on to say, “With SkyCloud in place, the customer’s need to connect with each endpoint is dramatically reduced. We anticipate a corresponding reduction in data plan usage.”

Ctek, M2M Wireless, and TnT Technologies will be demonstrating real-world SkyCloud use cases at Remote 2014 in booths 35&36.
