The Xybridge Mobility Manager (XMM), the newest member of the family of robust softswitch products, offers mobility management, call control, and features over a distributed, open IP-core infrastructure. The product is a scalable, carrier grade mobility management platform designed for IP-core networks. It delivers foundation mobility functions of roaming, location updates, subscriber profile management, inter-system hand-off and Radio Access Network (RAN) interworking to wireless service providers. The solution also offers open, standards-based service creation Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for rapid introduction of new multi-media applications. In addition, it supports current features such as call waiting, call forwarding, caller ID and call restrictions. The solution enables operators to deploy fully distributed core network architecture for next-generation (3G) networks.
