LMDS Lite

Vyyo Incte provides cost-effective broadband Internet access to small office/home office (SOHO) and residential markets. This IP-based LMDS Lite product line incorporates the DOCSIS+ customer premise equipment (CPE) modem platform, which increases the flexibility of LMDS networks and is less costly than traditional LMDS equipment designed for large business and enterprise customers. LMDS Lite provides flexible modulation schemes for achieving maximum bandwidth in a particular wireless environment, a MAC capable of supporting hundreds of users on 6 Mhz channels, frequency-division duplexing (FDD) architecture for reduced interference, all combined in a small profile, lightweight package.

Vyyo Incte system consists of a wireless hub located at a base station that sends and receives data traffic to and from wireless subscriber modems. The network management system manages the traffic transmitted over the broadband wireless system. The wireless modems provide access to the Internet and connect to PCs or LANs located in residences, small/home offices, and medium sized business.
