Microcell/Indoor Module (MIM) is a specialized add-on module with a complete set of planning tools for microcell and indoor wireless communication systems. Developed using our decades of experience in ray-tracing, and initially introduced in 1992 as standalone product, MCS, it was the first commercial program to offer ray-tracing propagation modeling for system design. Unlike traditional propagation models, ray-tracing has the special ability to predict time dispersion (RMS delay spread) and angle or arrival. These capabilities make MIM uniquely suited to studies of systems using digital transmission and adaptive antennas. MIM is the most advanced engineering tool available for designing wireless microcell and indoor communication systems. It includes multi-site coverage and interference analysis, multiple point-to-point link analysis, a comprehensive set of propagation models, full mapping capabilities, and full access to terrain, groundcover (clutter), building, demographic, traffic, and other databases.
