Nova Engineering's STAR family of wireless data transceivers is ideal for remote ground sensor applications. STAR transceivers provide half-duplex wireless data transmission for applications that require very low power consumption and robust communications. Most of the transceivers comply with SEIWG-005A, the communications specification adopted by the Marines' Tactical Remote Sensor System (TRSS) Program, and the Air Force's Tactical Automated Security System (TASS)
