The UniLink is a wireless data transceiver that requires no external power source to run. The transceiver is parasitically powered, meaning it draws its power from the device to which it is linked. That combined with its small size, about the size and weight of a matchbook, makes it a viable option for hand-held devices. The device connects to any RS-232 port, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications, including bar code printers and scanners, portable GPS systems, factory automation, signature recognition and security applications. It offers baud rate adjustment from 300 to 19.2 Kbps and allows users to define their own serial ports.
