The Raylink Access Point is a wireless LAN-to-Ethernet bridge which provides direct, transparent access to an existing wired Ethernet LAN infrastructure. With overlapping Access Points, mobile computer users can roam seamlessly from one Raylink Access Point to another while maintaining a live network connection. Designed for use with the Raylink PC Card, Raylink enables wireless LAN-equipped portable computers to access servers and devices resident on wired LANs. Raylink Access Point optimizes performance and reliability of wired-to-wireless packet transfers by incorporating advanced authentication, association and bridging algorithms. Key features include:
