Wireless Telecom Group Announces Cellular/WiMAX Diplexers

Parsippany, NJ - Wireless Telecom Group, Inc. introduced the first passive diplexer to deliver WiMAX, Wi-Fi, and cellular signals over a common infrastructure, providing a powerful integration of these important and rapidly growing communications systems.

This diplexer, the BK-26N, is the latest addition to the Microlab Tetra-Cellular-WiMAX capable product family that includes industry-leading wideband splitters, couplers and hybrids, all essential to superior infrastructure performance. It was designed using the company's innovative "Tuned-by-Design" technique, eliminating the need to perform any adjustments in manufacture and appreciably reducing cost.

Its broad 6 GHz bandwidth, ultra-reliability, and excellent noise performance make it ideal for combining WiMAX, WiFi, and cellular signals for high quality reception throughout building complexes, including the tallest buildings. Adopted by several major infrastructure companies for their in-building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), first orders of the BK-26N have already shipped. The product is now generally available through the company's worldwide distribution network.

Monty Johnson, CEO of Wireless Telecom Group, stated, "We have consistently led the industry in delivering multi-band passive components with increasingly wider bandwidths. Our introduction of the first diplexer covering the established cellular, Tetra, and WiFi bands and the rapidly growing WiMAX bands further demonstrates our leadership in this high growth market. Our long-term, close communications with the major wireless infrastructure manufacturers has resulted in this and many other new component designs that effectively meet the needs of our customers in terms of specification, price and reliability."
