Tecore combines the capabilities of a network switching subsystem (NSS) with support for high-speed data and IP protocols in a compact package. It can be deployed in a variety of applications including wireless office, wireless PBX and campus networks.

AirCore is a switching platform that can support multiple wireless protocols, including GSM, CDMA, TDMA and AMPS, as well as a fully integrated prepaid application and tandem switching for long-distance service. Tecore switching platform for the corporate enterprise market include software applications for standard wireless network elements such as Mobile Switching Center (MSC), Home Location Register (HLR), Visitor Location Register (VLR), Authentication Center (AuC), Equipment Identity Register (EIR) and Operation & Maintenance Center (OMC)—resulting in a fully functional NSS in a package measuring only 19" wide, 5-1/4" high, and 15" deep.

This product can interface to Base Station Subsystem (BSS) equipment from other suppliers via standard interfaces such as the GSM A interface or CDMA IOS. Corporate end-users will be able to access and modify their service profiles through web-based Internet access for such tasks as changing their call forwarding numbers. In addition, Tecore can be connected directly to a corporate PBX through IP or circuit switched interface. It supports interfaces such as ISUP and ISDN PRI, as well as MAP and IS-41 protocols for seamless integration with the existing wireless networks and the PSTN. This provides networking between multiple AirCore switching platforms in a corporate campus--and to the wireless network for seamless roaming and handover.
