AARO Broadband Wireless Establishes Presence in Texas
AARO signed a five-year lease for more than 1,200 square feet of the Vaughn Building, 807 Brazos St. in Austin, TX. According to AARO vice president and CTO Mike Erhart, the lease positions the company to deploy its high-speed wireless Internet service in the central Texas community by July 2000.
"The Austin contract includes office space as well as rooftop space for antenna deployment. This expansion brings AARO another step closer to its goal of regional provision of both high-speed Internet access and application services. From our Austin hub, AARO will be able to serve other target communities throughout Texas and the Southwest," Erhart said.
The company also has completed a contract to purchase Oklahoma City-based Support24 Resources, Inc. in a stock transaction. Support24 will provide technical and programming services as the company enters the competitive application services market.
