Advanced API

The new Advanced Application Programming Interface (API) for the Nokia mPlatform Solution is targeted to benefit operators, service providers and developers who want to be first to market by developing and offering value-added Mobile Services based on Nokia solutions.

The new API is based on open and common application development specifications, such as XML (Extended Mark-up Language) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol). The mPlatform Solution is a network and terminal independent solution for Mobile Internet services that work across various access methods from WAP and GRPS to 3G and fixed Internet technologies. It combines the key elements for offering new value-added messaging and information services for end-users, including access and enabling functions and the Advanced API for rapid application development and service offering. The solution is targeted to operators and service providers who will receive the Advanced API as part of the mPlatform.
