Continuing its mission to cover all important flight routes and provide airborne service throughout the country, Louisville, CO-based AirCell, Inc. has signed a contract with AirCell, Inc. of Northeast Arizona to provide air-ground advanced communications to its aviation customers in the Four Corners region and the White Mountains of Arizona (see AirCell Signs Agreement with Western Wireless to Provide Air-Ground Communications).
"Our coverage area, by the sheer nature of its size, has a tremendous amount of activity in the general aviation area," said Richard Watkins, Cellular One of Northeast Arizona general manager and CEO.
Cellular One of Northeast Arizona has approximately 160,000 pops, covering Navajo and Apache counties. The company now covers more than 95% of this area, with plans to cover everything by the end of the year 2000.
The AirCell service provides another layer of security and safety for the general aviation market.
