Bellingham, WA- Alpha Technologies has introduced a full series of on-line UPS products, ranging in capacity from 600VA to 15KVA. This new line has been specifically designed for communications systems, networks, midrange computers, workstations, industrial control and process-based electronic equipment. Known as the CFR Series, these power systems introduce several significant advances in UPS design for communications applications.

Alpha's CFR UPS systems proved maximum power protection and ensure clean, uninterrupted power to critical equipment. In addition, the CFR provides extended backup time—up to eight hours—via simple plug-in external battery packs. This extended backup time allows user to work through power outages and disturbances without interruption, rather than shutting down critical, revenue-generating operations.

Featuring an intelligent user interface, the CFR series provides full information and power management capacity on stand-alone or network configuration. RS-232 port, SNMP compatibility and remote call-out paging add to the CFR's advanced communications functions.

The CFR unity includes an automatic self-test capability and can provide an orderly, unattended shutdown of computer systems and networks in the event of an extended power outage. The CFR series is also designed to provide full network communication capacity.

Alpha's compact CFR UPS offers virtual noise-free operations, constant output voltage regulation(+1%) and unequaled reliability –with efficiency ratings of more than 90%. The CFR's unique design provides maximum isolation from EMI an RFI interference and controls large power surges, eliminating the need for static bypass switches and increased step-load response protection devices.
