BANDmaster

The BAND master is an intelligent high speed inverse multiplexer with integrated digital crossconnect switching functionality. By combining multiple fractional and or full T1/E1 lines, users can create a multi-megabit transmission channel where T3/E3 facilities are unavailable or cost prohibitive. Applications up to 6.112 Mbps (T1) and 7.904 Mbps (E1) are supported.

The BANDmaster incorporates Paragon's patent pending Integrated Inverse Multiple Access (I2MA™) technology. I2MA provides a unique ability to simultaneously support multiple applications and or users that have less than, equal to or greater than T1/E1 bandwidth requirements each. By viewing the multiple access links as a single high speed pipe and maintaining individual DSO resolution, the BANDmaster delivers maximum bandwidth flexibility and utilization.

The BANDmaster includes integrated CSU and DSU circuitry eliminating the need for and cost of additional boxes and or modules. Advanced features such as Automatic Rate Adaptation and Protection Switching ensure the highest levels of network and application reliability. Any SNMP based element manager, VT100 terminal, or PC with terminal emulator accesses all management and configuration functions.

The BANDmaster is a highly integrated single module solution that can either function as a stand alone unit or be fully integrated with additional BANDmaster modules or other MASTER Series products in any Paragon multi-slot enclosure such as the eight slot ACCESSmaster system. Hardware investment is protected as user networking needs change.
