CDMA Handset

The CMP-3 is a dual-mode CDMA handset with a built-in MP-3 player and web-browsing capabilities. This handset enables users to download and play MP3 music files directly from their PCs. The handset operates on the 800 MHz CDMA and AMPs frequencies. It is equipped with a built-in web-browser (UP 4.1) and offers other high-tech features such as two-way short-message service, voice recording and a built-in speakerphone (one-way), 20 ring tone selections, calendar, enhanced phone book which stores 200 names and 400 phone numbers, and one-touch dialing.

Sleek and lightweight, the silver device weighs less than four ounces. Standard configuration includes the handset, a standard lithium ion battery, travel charger and belt clip.

Two starter kits will also be available for the handset, one of which will contain a 16MB memory chip, software downloader, CD installation software, and earphone microphone. The second optional kit will contain a 32MB memory chip plus the additional accessories mentioned above.

The 16MB and 32MB flash memory cards (which store the music) will be sold as optional accessories. Other options include an extended lithium ion battery, cigarette lighter charger, hands-free car kit, earphone microphone, data interface cable and leather bag.
