Dual-band/Tri-mode Handset

The SCH-2530 is a dual-band/tri-mode handset that provides the users with the ability to roam on both analog and digital networks. The compact product weighs 5.1 ounces with the slim battery, and is said to increase personal productivity by allowing users to send and receive e-mail messages and manage important data. The bilingual (English and French) handset also offers a vibrate alert option that allows users to receive calls without disturbing others around them.

This handset operates on CDMA 1900 MHz and 800 MHz digital PCS networks as well as AMPS 800 MHz analog networks, and there are three lithium batteries available. The standard battery gives callers up to 2.2 hours of talk time or up to 36 hours of standby time in digital mode, and the extended battery provides up to 3.5 hours of talk time or 58 hours of standby time in digital mode. The slim battery gives callers up to 1.5 hours of digital talk time or up to 80 hours of digital standby time.
