GateKeeper
The GateKeeper remote site access control system, designed to meet the specialized needs of shared communications site owners, provides a cost-effective means of controlling visitor access to secured buildings. More than just a burglar alarm, the GateKeeper meets the specific needs of the shared communications site owner by monitoring, controlling, and logging all access to sites. The owner no longer needs to make do with a general-purpose burglar alarm system or constantly re-key doors to ensure continued site security. The GateKeeper provides the most cost-effective flexible site security system on the market. The GateKeeper provides the following features:
- Remotely assigned new or temporary passwords
- Support of proximity cards, passwords, or both for the ultimate security
- Logging to memory of all entries and other site activity for instant retrieval
- Immediate problem reporting via modem or pager
- Intrusion sensors for additional building security
- Full compatibility with the PageTek Total Site Protection system
The GateKeeper maintains an up-to-date record of all visitors, saves the owner trips to the site to admit visitors, and alerts the owner if fraudulent access attempts or break-ins occur.
The GateKeeper supports multiple access rights for visitor as well as multiple control rights for operators. Temporary visitors may be buzzed in remotely by the site owner or issued short-term passwords, while routine visitors gain admittance by presenting a proximity ID card or by entering a four to eight digit password. For maximum security, both credentials may be required. All operating characteristics, including authorized visitor list, may be programmed and modified via local VDT port or remotely using readily available terminal or communications programs.
