Hello Direct Joins Bluetooth SIG

Telephone productivity company Hello Direct Inc. (San Jose, CA) has joined the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The company will leverage its position in the wireless headset market by developing a number of products using the Bluetooth technology.

Since its launch, more than 1,100 leading companies have joined the group, including 3Com, Compaq, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, and Sony.

Hello Direct will now explore a range of products that use Bluetooth technology. Targeting both the business desktop and mobile markets, these new products will offer professional users seamless mobility among their business offices, cellular phones, and home offices. Dataquest predicts that 79% of digital handsets and more than 200 million PCs will incorporate Bluetooth technology by 2002.
