i3 Mobile Endorses Intel Personal Internet Client Architecture
Stamford, Conn., Sept. 27, 2000 — i3 Mobile (Nasdaq: IIIM), a leader in innovative wireless media solutions since 1991, from personalized, localized information to m-commerce and advertising services, today announced its support for Intel Corporation's Intel Personal Internet Client Architecture (Intel PCA), a development blueprint that defines specifications for building new wireless client solutions capable of processing advanced Internet applications. Going forward, i3 Mobile anticipates creating wireless services that support Intel PCA for distribution by its network of wireless carriers and enterprises.

"Implementing Intel PCA will greatly enhance i3 Mobile's ability to quickly deploy compelling wireless content, m-commerce and enterprise applications," said Stephen G. Maloney, president and CEO of i3 Mobile. "Intel PCA is an open architecture that allows us to leverage the products and services we've created and develop new applications across multiple standards and protocols for the next generation of wireless." Intel Capital invested in i3 Mobile in April of this year at i3 Mobile's initial public offering.
