i3 Mobile Names John McMenamin Executive Vice President, Sales
i3 Mobile, Inc. (Nasdaq: IIIM), a leading provider of premium data services to mobile phones, today announced that John J. McMenamin has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Sales. McMenamin will be responsible for all the company's revenue streams, including subscription services, m-commerce and advertising sales.
McMenamin, 46, comes to i3 Mobile from NBC Internet (NBCi) where he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. While at NBCi, he was responsible for all revenue generating programs including advertising sales, sponsorships, commerce and list marketing. In addition, McMenamin directed the development of marketing strategies across all NBCi properties and the business development, research, ad operations and marketing functions.
Prior to NBCi, McMenamin served as Senior Vice President/General Manager of iVillage: The Women's Network and as President and CEO of Compucook, Inc., an interactive marketing and promotions company delivering product information and recipes to in-store kiosks in over 2,500 Supermarkets and on the internet. Previously, McMenamin was President of Turner Private Networks Inc (TPNI), a division of AOL Time Warner, and Executive Vice President of Sales for Turner Broadcasting. As President of TPNI, McMenamin developed innovative out-of-home television networks including the CNN Airport Network, CNN Accent Health Network, College Television Network and Turner In-flight. Earlier in his career, he held sales and marketing positions at companies including ACT Media, Newsweek and Flagstaff Corporation. McMenamin serves on the Board of Directors of Retail Media Systems and 10Best.com.
