iSurfSplitter

The iSurfSplitter is the mid-range member of the iSurf Family. Packaged in a small, freestanding bandwidth management module with an embedded data warehouse, it supports up to 5,000 users. The solution meets the evolving requirements of Network Service Providers offering broadband access, including cable modem, wireless and DSL. It features centralized network management feature enables multiple units that are located in different physical locations to be managed from any place in the network using a Web browser.

It is designed without dependence on an operating system or hard disk drive. The design increases performance allowing the attainment of wire speed in a 100 Mbps Ethernet environment at full-duplex mode, and coupled with the in box bypass, results in reliability in products of its class. The Bandwidth Management Module is a small freestanding hardware module with a standard Pentium processor, RAM and flash memory. It processes each incoming or outgoing IP packet, classifies its customer and traffic class, meters the actual usage, and captures the usage data in the iSurf Data Warehouse.
