Incorporating a unique bit rate flexible modem, the 2600 Series allows software-controlled adjustment in bandwidth, accommodating growth and/or change in the transmission capacity of the radio. This bandwidth flexibility allows the radio to be easily re-deployed within a network, handling bandwidth requirements from 2.5 MHz up to 10 MHz on the same platform.
The 2600 Series transmits up to 32 DS1s providing the highest traffic capacity available in a 10MHz bandwidth resulting in a more cost-effective network. Offering a unique drop and insert capability at repeater locations, any number of DS1s may be dropped, up to the full capacity of the radio via software – simple point and click - control.
