Mobile Commerce Solution
Subscribers call the phone number posted on the vending machine and select a product code associated with their desired purchase. The product's payment server will verify the details and signal the machine to provide the product. The application provides an end-to-end solution from placing and order, authentication and credit approval, to receipt of the goods and billing the subscriber's account.
The solution allows cashless purchases for the subscribers; vendors can increase sales without the overhead of collections or the worry of theft; and by providing this new service, service providers increase airtime and boost Short Message Service (SMS) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) traffic generated by subscribers. The application provides telemetry services including remote machine monitoring to track inventory and mechanical malfunctions.
