A cooperative marketing partnership between Motient Corp. (Reston, VA) and OracleMobile, a subsidiary of Oracle Corporation (San Francisco, CA) will focus on the wireless Internet industry. It will benefit both companies by promoting Motient's wireless data network and OracleMobile's Ask@OracleMobile services for two-way wireless messaging devices.

Motient will be featured on OracleMobile's wireless portal, through initial placement of its logo and description of services on the OracleMobile site. Motient also will place the OracleMobile logo and service descriptions in the Content Provider section of the its Web site, as well as on the "eLinkmail" home page of Motient's eLink wireless e-mail service, which supports Internet browsing.

The Ask@OracleMobile services, launched in June, turns two-way wireless messaging devices into Web devices by allowing them to access the Internet without a browser. The first services launched were stock quotes, traffic, flight information, driving directions, horoscopes, lottery, dictionary, translation, and weather. In a separate announcement, OracleMobile extended its support of two-way wireless messaging devices with the launch of an additional set of services including news, movie guide, eBay, and package tracking.
