Motorola V. series phones available on Sprint PCS network

<%=company1%> (Kansas City, MO) will soon offer Schaumburg, IL-based Motorola's new line of V. series CDMA wireless phones, the V8162 and the V2267. Sprint PCS customers will now have a choice between Motorola's Timeport, TalkAbout, and V. Series phones, which were designed certain consumer types. Motorola's V8162 and V2267 phones will complement the existing Sprint PCS portfolio.

The new galaxy gray Motorola V8162 phone weighs in at 2.9 ounces. The single-band V8162 boasts a four-line holographic display screen, a built-in headset jack, an extended phone book that can store 99 contacts with up to four numbers per contact, and TrueSync software support. It offers a sleek, clamshell design and allows easy access to Sprint PCS Wireless Web services while providing up to 2.5 hours of talk-time or up to 125 hours of stand-by time. The Motorola V8162 is packaged with a Lithium Ion battery and cover, belt clip, and AC adapter charger. It will be available at Sprint stores for $399.99 in July.

The V2267 phone offers a slim design with fluid contours that comfortably fit the shape of the face. Optional interchangeable PhoneWrap covers in vibrant colors allow customers to personalize the color of their phones. This silver and putty gray phone offers a four-line display screen, nine individual ring styles, a built-in headset jack, and an extended phone book that can store 99 contacts with up to four numbers per contact. It also features a minibrowser that enables customers to shop, trade stocks online, browse select Internet-based content in real time, and receive automatic personalized news features, weather, stock quotes, and e-mail updates.

This dual-band phone weighs 5.1 ounces and provides up to 180 minutes of talk-time or up to 110 hours in stand-by time while in digital mode. The V2267 is packaged with 3 AAAL NiMh batteries, an AC adapter charger, a belt clip and an azure colored PhoneWrap cover. The phone has a retail price of $99.99 and will be available in August.
