Framingham, MA-based NMS Communications (Formerly Natural MicroSystems) (NMS) has entered into a multiyear OEM agreement with enhanced services company Comverse Network Systems (Wakefield, MA), a division of Comverse Technology Inc. (Woodbury, NY). Under this agreement, NMS will become the key supplier to Comverse, delivering its hardware and software platforms to be used within the company's enhanced services solutions, which address a broad range of high-growth, high-demand applications including multimedia broadband, IP services, mobile data access and voice portals.

Products included in the contract include the Alliance Generation (AG) 4000, Convergence Generation (CG) 6000, and TX3210 platforms. The AG4000 voice hardware platform supports a broad range of media types, including fax, speech recognition, and messaging on the same hardware/software platform. The CG6000 was developed specifically to address packet-intensive, convergence applications for IP telephony solutions. The product's reliable, high-quality voice and packet processing capabilities allow carriers and service providers to support both media gateway capabilities and enhanced services, such as unified messaging services or calling card capabilities. NMS' TX3210 provides a powerful and flexible platform for a variety of VoIP telephony applications and serves as a highly programmable, high-performance engine in applications such as VoIP gateways and IP Enhanced Services platforms.
