NEC America, Inc., Microwave Radio Groupries SONET digital microwave radio is designed to carry one OC-3/STM-1, plus 2 optional wayside DS1s per RF channel in the 4-13 GHz bands. Employment of the optional Cross-polarization Interference Canceller (XPIC) enables the reliable transmission of up to 16 OC-3s in the 6 GHz band. Additionally, NEC America, Inc., Microwave Radio Groupries includes a number of enhancements to benefit users of a high capacity, synchronous digital microwave radio. Individual space diversity receivers for each RF channel now employ automatic differential absolute delay equalization (DADE) and minimum dispersion IF combining to minimize propagation outages. The available four-fiber interface for each RF channel eliminates single-point-of-failure hardware related outages, even in linear systems. These enhancements in aggregate with NEC's initial quality make NEC America, Inc., Microwave Radio Groupries digital microwave radio an extremely reliable high capacity radio on the market today.
