The Network Access Unit - Lite (NAU-L) is a communications server with bridge-routing capabilities that can be used to intelligently interface up to five pieces of non-network equipment to a TCP/IP network. The NAU-L can also be used to provide dial-in and dial-out access to/from remote site local area networks. The use of network interfaces to communicate with remote site equipment provides many user benefits. The NAU-L's unique Modem Emulation capabilities enable modem interfaced equipment to originate and terminate calls transparently over a network without software changes.
