New search engine looks for WAP content
The site can be accessed through the Internet or a WAP-enabled phone. The online Internet version comes complete with the a WAP phone simulator for users to browse and test WAP sites before deciding whether the services offered are what they need, thus preventing the need for huge mobile phone bills.
The site also gives visitors the option of limiting their search to sites that are recommended and reviewed by the team at Mobile Lifestreams or from the complete list of sites picked up by the company's electronic agent. All of the listings have been distributed into various categories including, News, Sport, Fun Stuff, Tickets & Shopping, Mobile & WAP Services, Regional, Business & Economy, Entertainment, Jobs & Careers, Reference and Travel, with geographically regionalized sections aiming to serve a worldwide user base.
The "Cool Site of the Week" featured on the Web site will give users a "recommended" chance to see the very cream that WAP has to offer, and the "Top Ten" most popular sites visited will effectively be the people's poll. Users and site owners can also add their own WML site to the list through the specially designed "Add Zone."
