The service tremendously increases mobile workers' productivity by reducing or eliminating the time they spend "on-hold" while trying to communicate with a central office or another worker, and thereby allows them more time to perform their primary tasks. In addition, SkyMail's customized subject lines like "Customer Not Home" or "Job Completed" provides intelligent queuing that can be utilized to communicate the significance of the message, allowing the recipient to act on the most important messages first.
"Given the dynamics in today's business environment, it's important for us to continue to offer an expanded portfolio of solutions to our business customers that will further enhance their communications across a mobilized workforce," said David Maddox, Alltel Wireless vice president of product marketing. "SkyMail allows us to expand our service offerings, and we are confident that it will further enhance our customer's satisfaction with our services."
