Phoenix Tower International To Acquire More Than 3,200 Towers From Cellnex Telecom In France

Boca Raton , FL /PRNewswire/ - Phoenix Tower International ("PTI") announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement -- subject to approval by the French competition authority ("FCA") -- with the Cellnex Telecom to acquire 1,226 telecommunications sites in very dense areas in France, adding SFR as PTI's second largest MNO (multilevel network operator) customer in France. Simultaneously, with its joint venture partner Bouygues Telecom, PTI will acquire 2,000 sites in very dense areas. Both transactions relate to the French competition authority's legal measures that followed Cellnex's acquisition of Hivory last year.

With these latest transactions, along with its previously announced build program with Bouygues Telecom, PTI will own and operate more than 5,000 sites in France over the next few years, making it one of the country's largest independent wireless infrastructure providers.
