Portable Cell Phone Charger

The Power Holster is a portable lightweight cellular phone charging system that is only slightly larger than a typical cell phone belt holster. It uses a tiny array of MicroFuel Cells to continuously charge the phone when inserted in the holster. Although the current prototype is being used with a Nokia cellular phone, the technology can easily be adapted to any brand of cellular phone. The MicroFuel Cells directly convert air and a mixture of methanol and water from disposable ampoules to produce electricity. The exhaust products are carbon dioxide and water, making the system an environmentally benign alternative to batteries for portable electronics. The MicroFuel Cells inside the system are formed on paper-thin plastic sheets intended for roll-fed mass production. The company has filed patents to protect these inventions.
