The Adax ACT card is a high performance channelized controller that provides a cost effective solution for wireless and mobile IP applications. It is the ideal product for Base Station Control, IP Gateways and Billing Mediation applications and can be combined with other Adax products to provide a complete channelized signaling solution for GSM, GPRS, 3G and beyond.
The ACT is a two port fully channelized HDLC board for PCI. The ACT can handle multiple protocols including X.25, Frame Relay, LAPB, LAPD, HDLC and LAPV5 and can provide up to 1,024 DS0s, increasing call capacity and all on the same platform.
Features
- Two T1 or E1 interfaces provided through the ANC-TCX daughter card in a single PCI slot.
- The ACT provides access to all 24 DS0s in a T1 trunk or all 32 DS0s in an E1 trunk.
- Software configurable and allows for the flexible allocation of the DS0s by creating individual HDLC links (up to 48 for T1 and 64 for E1) for use by multimedia protocols, telephony or data applications.
- Multiple cards per system providing for highly flexible and scaleable solutions.
- The ACT features 2MB of static RAM to support high speed data buffering.
- Compatible software: LAPB/D HDLC X.25 Frame Relay/PPP LAPV5
- MVIP/SCSA bus for connection of multiple ACT cards and integration of third party products.
- PCI 2.1 industry standard architecture compliant. Adax Avalanche proven and field tested high performance PCI bus engine, designed to give the host preferential access to the boards memory, supporting plug and play compatibility, 133 MBps bus variable length transfers and decodes addresses in a single bus cycle.
