Radiating Cable
RFS Wireless Distributed Communications provides the products and services to build the backbone infrastructure to bring RF communications to difficult wireless environments where RF signals don't normally operate, making us one of the leading providers of Wireless Distributed Communications in the world today. Our systems cover wideband applications from DC to 2.4 GHz in both voice and data communications.
RFS offers two type of radiating cable, corrugated and smooth wall. Corrugated radiating cable is made from Radio Frequency Systems' CELLFLEX coaxial cable. This is the toughest cable in the industry with outstanding electrical specifications. The corrugated cable allows for greater bend flexibility in tight spaces found in tunnels and buildings. Smooth wall cable can be notched for specific RF patterns allowing variable and tuned cable for increased performance in the 800 and 1,900 MHz frequency spectrum. This is especially important in very long tunnels and where reduction in cable size is important. Fire retardant cable is also available for use within structures. In the event of a fire, these cables help protect humans from harmful gases generated by non-fire retardant cables.
