StarLink 2.1 is the latest version of the company's microwave radio path planning software that enables cost-effective planning of digital microwave paths. This interactive software allows microwave path designers to quickly determine the best radio, frequency band, capacity, protection and diversity options for the given path, as well as the appropriate antenna sizes and feeder type to meet performance and availability criteria.

The software differs from its predecessors by featuring both enhanced analytical capabilities and reporting. It contains a database of all the company's microwave radios and enables the user to generate quick and easy microwave path designs. Designed for both North American and CEPT (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunication Administration) standards, the software computes the received signal level, multipath availability and reliability, and rain outage for Harris microwave digital radio links. Built-in climate/terrain, temperature, and rain region maps allow easy selection of specific local propagation conditions. An instant "what-if" feature shows the impact of any user-choice on path outages and availability.
