Sprint PCS Selects Wireless Knowledge as Developer Partner

In an effort to increase its data services, Sprint PCS (Kansas City, MO) has selected Wireless Knowledge LLC (San Diego, CA), a joint venture company between Microsoft Corp. (Redmond, WA) and Qualcomm Inc. (San Diego, CA), to be a premier partner in its recently announced Application Developer's Program. The company will assist Sprint PCS customers with the development of Web sites and Web-based applications that are wirelessly accessible over Sprint PCS' network.

With the explosive growth of Internet-ready mobile phones and the increase of mobile e-commerce, enterprises, dot-coms, and independent software vendors can expand their addressable markets by extending both their web-based and non-web-based applications to wireless devices.

Wireless Knowledge's Professional Services group leverages the company's core technologies to work with wireless carriers, enterprise customers, and Internet companies to extend applications to Internet devices using wireless networks. The group provides mobile strategy consulting, application development, design, deployment, training, technical support, and maintenance.
