SSH Secure Shell for Workstations
Security for your convenience
As the inventor of the Secure Shell application and SSH protocol, we have set the bar for Internet security technologies and created the de-facto standard for encrypted terminal connections and secure file transfers.
SSH Secure Shell is the de facto standard for remote logins, with an estimated three million users in 80 countries. It solves the most important security problem on the Internet: hackers stealing passwords. Typical applications include remote system administration, file transfers, and access to corporate resources over the Internet.
The SSH Secure Shell is based on the modern, secure SSH2 protocol.
The SSH Secure Shell 2.2 for Workstations Windows features a fully integrated secure file transfer user interface, advanced terminal emulation, handy "New Window" feature, public key authentication, and a lot more.
The SSH Secure Shell 2.2 contains important bug fixes and improvements:
- SCP and SFTP have undergone major rewrite.
- Server authentication code has undergone major cleanup.
- This version is much more stable and portable than previous versions. There are many bug fixes and porting improvements.
SSH Secure Shell has features including seamless public key authentication, multiple symmetric key ciphers for encrypting connections, and port forwarding arbitrary TCP connections.
