Tekelec to provide virtual HLR to Bouygues Telecom

Source: Tekelec
Calabasas, CA-based Tekelec has signed a multi-million-dollar contract with Bouygues Telecom. Tekelec will provide a virtual home location register (HLR) built on its Eagle service platform combined with its flexible numbering solution, G-Flex SS7 Relay. Tekelec's virtual HLR centralizes access to the subscriber databases within the network. The solution allows the carrier to flexibly allocate its subscriber numbers across its HLRs and dynamically rebalance its number database loads to meet changing network needs and maximize the capacity of the databases.

"We are providing a complete solution for the company including project management, network integration, and training," said David Colbeck, managing director Tekelec Ltd. and vice president for Europe. "Tekelec will support Bouygues Telecom's network from our recently opened European Customer Support Center in the UK."
