Telular Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and markets Fixed Wireless Terminal (FWT) products that enable a standard telephone, fax, computer modem or security alarm system to operate wirelessly over the cellular network for either primary or back-up communications. Based on its proprietary RJ-11-to-Cellular interface technologies, Telular provides the capability to bridge landline telephone equipment with cellular-type transceivers used in wireless communication networks in the Cellular and PCS bands. FWT applications are evolving spanning from primary telephony service in rural areas not yet offering wireline service, to second line service, to remote monitoring and telemetry services. In developing countries Wireless Local Loop (WLL) systems represent what is often the fastest and most cost-effective way of providing basic telephone service.

Telular also provides Wireless Alarm Signaling (WAS) backup systems for wireline telephone systems and wireline security alarm transmissions. The principal product lines, PHONECELL® and TELGUARD®, allow traditional wireline networks to send and receive voice, data, and facsimile signals over wireless networks using standard telephony technology.

Telular's product lines incorporate the world's leading cellular standards (GSM, TDMA, CDMA, AMPS) and are marketed worldwide. Headquartered in Vernon Hills, Illinois, Telular has regional sales offices in Atlanta, Miami, Singapore and the United Kingdom to support its worldwide sales.
