Toronto-based Cell-Loc Inc.'s TimesThree has formed an agreement with Sprint Sites USA, tower management division of Sprint, to lease space on more than 2,000 Sprint sites throughout the United States. This agreement enables TimesThree's U.S. deployment of its Cellocate Network, which is to be first deployed in Austin, TX, in September and then in Dallas, TX soon afterward.

"Securing tower space is a key element of the deployment of our network," said Lew Turnquist, executive vice president and COO, Cell-Loc Inc. "Signing a master lease agreement with Sprint Sites USA was strategic because of Sprint's extensive national tower inventory. In addition, Sprint Sites USA towers provide us with an ideal situation in Austin because of their excellent coverage of the entire city."

Cell-Loc's TimesThree, based in Dallas and Calgary, Alberta, will provide location sensitivity to e-commerce and m-commerce wireless Internet companies, as well as a full suite of location services including L411, fleet tracking, asset tracking, child/senior find, and pet tracking. The company will initially offer services in Calgary, Alberta and major U.S. cities; as well as key International markets.

"The players in the wireless location industry represent yet another revenue stream for Sprint Sites USA," said Bill D'Agostino, Sprint Sites USA vice president. "Companies like Cell-Loc represent an exciting area of new growth in the wireless industry."
