Tri-Mode Handset

The CDM-9100 next generation handset has been announced. The handset, which will operate on the 800 MHz Amps/CDMA and 1900 MHz PCS frequencies, is a sleek web-browsing wireless phone.

Supporting CDMA, AMPS 800 MHz and PCS 1900 MHz frequencies, the phone is small and light (3.8 ounces) and is available in three colors: champagne, ice blue, and silver. A full-line of user changeable face plates in an array of colors are available. The multi-functional phone comes equipped with the latest MSM-3100 chipset, a web-browser with two soft-touch keys for easy Internet navigation, and Tegic T9 predictive messaging.

The phone features a multilingual user interface (English, Spanish, French and Portuguese) two-way SMS, 99-name phonebook with three name/number capacity, e-mail notification, user-changeable display font (up to 127 characters), caller ID, 10 one-touch dialing keys, vibrating alert, V+ key for easy entry voice-mail, built-in charging circuit, emergency dialing, and data capability.

The package comes equipped with a Lithium Ion battery pack offering 150 minutes of talk time and 55 hours of stand-by time, an AC adapter and wrist strap. Optional accessories include an extended Lithium Ion battery pack, data interface cable, cigarette lighter charger and cigarette lighter, a hands-free car kit, an earphone microphone and desktop holder with speaker, and user changeable faceplates.
