Wireless Knowledge joins AT&T Wireless Services data solutions program

San Diego, CA-based Wireless Knowledge Inc., a Microsoft Corporation and Qualcomm Inc. company that brings wireless data to mobile business workers, has joined the AT&T Wireless Services Data Solutions Program. It will work with AT&T's existing sales and distribution channels while leveraging the company's marketing resources to reach qualified enterprise customers for its Workstyle Server.

The Workstyle Server provides secure, real-time access to Microsoft Exchange Server-based corporate e-mail, calendar, and contacts using wireless Internet-ready devices. It is available through the AT&T Digital PocketNet service Internet phones. AT&T PocketNet service business customers pay a flat monthly rate of $14.99 for unlimited wireless data use, when combined with One Rate or Group Calling voice rate plans.

The first enterprise customer resulting from the joint program is Pacific Coast Building Products Inc., which builds and distributes building materials. A 3,000-employee company headquartered in Sacramento, CA, the company is using the solution to provide access to its corporate Microsoft Exchange information for mobile workers.

The AT&T Wireless Data Solutions Program is supported by AT&T with marketing and sales activities that promote the sale of the Workstyle Server, including sales lead generation, marketing and technical support. In addition, AT&T Wireless launched a nationwide advertising campaign in February 2000 that features the Workstyle Server in leading business publications.

The two companies have conducted several Workstyle Server seminars and plan to do more in the upcoming months.
