Wireless Matrix Signs Three-Year Agreement With Municipal Utility Company

Reston, VA - Wireless Matrix Corporation announced recently that it has signed a three-year service agreement with a Midwestern municipal utility company to deploy the FleetOutlook solution suite with their vehicle fleet.

Under the agreement, FleetOutlook will be implemented in 138 subscriber vehicles for GPS tracking, location mapping and reporting. The utility company will also utilize a NMEA data stream to provide data to the company's existing workforce management application. Communications for the solution will be provided by the Wireless Matrix Communicator 300, supporting broadband wireless communication over the EDGE network.

The municipal utility selected Wireless Matrix's FleetOutlook solution suite to address operational concerns including reduction of fuel expenses within its fleet and efforts to enhance operational productivity.
