The new GPS Accessory is a completely retrofittable wireless phone accessory with the latest Global Positioning System (GPS) and wireless data transmission technology. The product is being offered for private labeling by wireless carriers, commercial call centers, personal security companies, and Internet content providers. It quickly and easily attaches to an extensive line of Nokia-brand wireless phones, providing them with the means to send and receive location-sensitive information. With this product, applications such as roadside assistance, enhanced 411, concierge services, and workforce management instantly and cost effectively become available worldwide. This accessory attaches quickly and securely to any Nokia 5100, 6100, and 7100 series wireless phone and can be used with most other wireless phone accessories, including chargers, car kits, cradles, and cases.

The product design was supported by Axiom Navigation and features the latest GPS SiRFStar II chipset, GPS antenna, and in-band data communications software. This software instantly transports time-critical GPS information across all digital (CDMA, TDMA and GSM) and analog (AMPS) wireless networks without phone or network modifications of any kind.

Featuring a "clip-and-go" design, the accessory adds no weight or size to the supported line of wireless phones. The accessory weighs less than three ounces and contains a lightweight 1400mah lithium-ion battery, a built-in RS-232 data connection for transporting location and other data to and from Personal Digital Assistants, and the user-activated "Push-to- Point" button. This button ensures subscriber privacy by sending location to authorized service providers only upon the user's command.
